The City of Bunbury Australia Day event, SkyFest, will be back again on Sunday 26 January 2020. Held at Bicentennial Square and the Graham Bricknell Music Shell, the day kicks off with a fundraising breakfast hosted by the APEX Club of Bunbury/Koombana, followed by the Bunbury Runners Club Fun Run and the Mayor’s Citizenship Ceremony from 8.30am. At 4pm, the afternoon entertainment begins and includes a live music concert, sideshow alley, food and market stalls, free entertainment and activities, and a spectacular fireworks display over the Leschenault Inlet from 8.30pm.
The community is invited to join us for this free event and celebrate everything that makes each of us uniquely Australian. The event is physically accessible in a location that provides ramp access throughout the area, and also accessible toilet facilities. There will also be a Seniors Space for the older members of the community which will offer a shaded and quiet space to sit back and relax, with live easy listening music, tables and chairs, and light refreshments. And new to the event this year will be a Sensory Release Zone which will allow for a quiet and semi-enclosed space for members of the community who have sensory sensitivities and will feature low lighting and items to assist with any sensory needs such as soft blankets, fidget style toys, and ear muffs.
Free parking will be available only at the City of Bunbury owned car parks.
